Quick and Easy Web Site Mockups

January 22nd, 2010

I usually mock up Web sites and applications using Photoshop, and have become pretty adept at it over the last several years – so I was skeptical when I stumbled upon GoMockingbird a few weeks ago.

GoMockingbird, launched in early November of 2009, is a Web-based tool that is designed specifically for generating Web site mockups.  It comes with all the familiar Web UI elements ready for you to drag and arrange onto a page.  You can even string multiple pages together just like you’re creating Web site links.

I played around with it for a little while and was quite pleased with what I was able to do with the tool.  They’ve also made it very easy for you to save your project (just create a free account first) and share it via their Web site – no need to download and send the files yourself, unless you want to.

If your job calls for frequent mockups and wireframes, GoMockingbird is worth a look!
